Manco Dingo "Vibration"

Postby mrekimf » Sat Aug 29, 2015 4:15 pm

Hello all!
I am new to the group.
I just recently bought a nice Manco Dingo Model #390U-0,
needs a few items like muffler, air filter, choke cable, and ignition.
It runs great!
The only problem I am having is it vibrates pretty bad. It actually vibrates your eye balls, the faster you go the the less the vibration. I don't know what the problem is, I have had gokarts before, and never had this problem. The engine runs smooth so I cant figure out whats making it vibrate so much?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I tried adding a pic, but file size is to big.

Welcome to Go Karts R Us, It's kinda hard to give out any help without first having a look at the go kart, it could be a loose engine mount , or an unbalanced Torque Converter driver unbalanced, if it vibrates when standing still, if it does it while driving it could be a bent rear axel, bad tires, It can be a number of things that can cause it to vibrate, Start with eliminating the first two and continue from there.

The motor mounts are good. I need more info on checking, "unbalanced Torque Converter driver unbalanced"? It does vibrate sitting still and driving.

What have you done with the torque converter? Have you taken it apart and given it a good cleaning? How does the driver and driven look? and sign of wear? Also make sure the belt is facing the correct direction, this will cause some issues too.

The left side is the driver and the right side is the driven pulley.

Cleaning it won't cost you anything. :toothy8:

Are you referring to A and B, or C and D?
