clutch chattering

clutch chattering

when my torque converter starts to engage it starts chattering and grabbing real hard like you're getting hit from behind with a 20 pound sledge till you get going, almost wiplash sometimes, any ideas? new belt or is it maybe the whole system? please help me.

belt.take off all cover to the converter.remove the bolt on the clutch with a 1/2 socket.pull off the the first section and remove it.pull off the belt and examin.if u see any flaws or indents in it replace it.
Fix things even if they are not broke. Its called UPGRADES!!

It's usually a worn belt, but sometimes you'll get the same thing with if the driver or driven is dirty. Make sure you maintain it, keep it clean lube it.
