creating ground clearance

Postby 4daboyz » Thu Jan 26, 2017 3:08 pm

I want to create a little more ground clearance for the boys kart. it came with tire part #14667 and 14674 (16 x 7 x 8")...can I put on part #15670 : Tire / Wheel Assembly 20x7-8 ? will it create too much toque? I realize it would only gain 2", but other than downsizing the sprocket, I dont see any other options...any thoughts?

I don't think you have too much of an option with that. Eitherway you go you will lose power up front or in the end. The choice is really what do you need?

But the best way to figure out the torque to jackshaft ratio would be to use the calculator found Here

I'd be interested to know if you managed to pull this off. Any updates?
