Thats the cheapest they come around here. I have seen import trucks kill mileage on any domestic truck (although I only by american vehicles). My neighbor had a ford F150 that had 400,000 miles on it and was running perfectly when he sold it. GM's have the worst longevity out of them all, my old GM work van went 60,000 miles before it needed a water pump, and then a intake gasket at 120,000 and (you guessed it) another water pump. My Chevy iron duke 4cyl blazer only went 90,000 before it needed head work, and after the head was replaced it started tinging, probably a gone wrist pin or the like.

Our GM's are fine. Moms jimmy has 80000 and my dads yukon has 90000 and no major replacements. Only big was my moms tranny was replaced. Never changed the tranny fluid thats why.

I had a 98 explorer and what a POS that was! It needed a tranny at 70K and a head gasget at 90K and shortly there after the tranny started to act up again so I got rid of it. Now my vette has 300K on the clock and runs well. I did have to ditch all the FI crap and go carb but that was the only problem I have had with it. FI is way over rated as are turbos. You want power? Put a healthy carb on there and a super charger. I heard someone say somethingabout taking a 5.4 from 300HP to 550HP? Not a easy feat to say the VERY least. Your talking porting, polsihing, heads, intake, major computer mods ect.
