My yerf has a Modified 13hp honda. It will climb lot steeper and longer hills than those.I wasn't even half throttle in video. Sorry about tree I should of picked a better camera location.I will bring a camera man with me next time.If you liked this video wait till you see it at Full throttle.I've clocked my yerf with GPS and top speed is 58 mph.

Looks like an impressive machine indeed.

Is that nos bottle on the rear legit?

Are double shocks really necessary? I'd think for a go kart that an adjustable hydraulic set would be fine.

I see the engine, but any engine mods?

Just some Q's

Thats not a nitrous bottle thats my gas tank.If you want to go fast and handle rough terrian adding dual shocks is the only way to go.Your not only doubling amount your suspension can absorb but your also doubling the amount of adjustment that can be made for fine tuning.with single shock you have 4 adjustment settings with 2 shocks you have 8 settings.adjustable Hydraulic shocks are nice but they rebound a little to slow for front suspension, if you notice I have set of hydraulics in Rear. Im sorry you dont see Motor mods try wearing some xray glasses when you watch video.Cam,valves, valve springs are all located on inside of motor.I dont consider the $5 cromed air filter on you kart real motor mod just a better way for dirt to get inside motor and cause premature ring wear.

Hydraulic shocks are better then spring tension shocks in most applications.the only problem is that you need at least 6" of travel to get best performance from hydraulic shock. Most offroad karts with front A-arm suspension have max of 4" total travel[wheel travel] since shocks are located between wheel and a-arms pivot point the shock travel will be less than wheel travel.[if wheel travel is 4" and shock is mounted in center of a-arm halfway between wheel and pivot point shock travel is only 2".setting up a Hydraulic shock with only 2" of total travel on offroad kart would be serious harsh ride. "if u get a drycharger from k&n dirt and water aint gonna get in it" But thats still just a waste of money because You dont gain any hp with K&N filter.Your better off with stock airfilter and fine tuning air/fuel mixture on carb.

u do too gain hp with a k&n airfilter stock will restrict airflow where as this will increase your airflow and once rejetted will result in more power Image

Wow! I have a VERY similar setup!
I'll post pics of mine, but could you do the same? I'd like to see exactly what you've done.

Nice Kart!

Ok...
I started with a stock Yerf Dog 32001 which was fun, but lacked the Umph! I wanted.
I found a 11hp Honda GX340 on Craigslist for $175. I basically cut the swing arm down to nothing but bearings and remade it using 1.5" x .125" wall square tubing and some flat stock. I used a Comet 40 series TC with it. I also added a rear disc brake.

I've since upgraded the front shocks, but might go to a dual shock setup soon.

I'm running 18x9.50x8 rear muds, 18x7x8 fronts on 4 bolt hubs.

The kart has dual 55w halogens run off a Kinetic HC600 battery.

I haven't seen the need in a larger fuel tank yet. I normally travel 4-5 miles out and always have plenty of fuel to get back.

Does pretty decent donuts! :)
