So now i have this mini-talon running after replacing the rubber drive wheel and something occurred to me. it looks like i should be able to change the "gearing" on this kart by moving the rubber wheel in or out on its shaft. would moving the rubber wheel out to the outer edge of the plate on the bottom of the engine yield more speed? has anybody tried this? i know, its a kids kart and doesnt need the speed but this kid is already kind of bored on it. i may experiment with this. I'll post if its worth posting.
check just how big the drive wheel is...snappers use the friction drive also.....what horse engine is on it because the wheel might be to big for the crank shaft
I also have the mini talon and the friction drive wheel runs in the $40 range to replace, too high. The mini talon has a 3.5hp, I was also wondering how to get the most performance out of it. If you could message me on Yahoo my sn is Jeff_is_Bad thanks
