yerf 3202 blaster shocks yes or no

Postby joelster69 » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:23 pm

can get $30 blaster shocks. looks like ill have to grind em down to fit , and make brackets with 1/8th inch steel.

I am pretty mechanically inclined Installed the harbor freight engine) , but dont weld or have a Plasma saw

wondering If ill be able to make brackets with a reciprocating saw, drill holes in the brackets , and grind the shocks to fit in the original mounts .

I have limited tools to fabricate , and no template .
Is it worth the trouble

or shoul I just buy these (look like theyll mount up )
http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?i ... 1&catname=

also considering honda shadow shocks, but not sure if they will fit

If you don.'t have the right equipment to do the job, I would go with the one that will fit what you have. Why go through all the trouble making them fit.

Did you end up modifying it for them to fit? or was it a straight fit? You should post a picture of it into your gallery or in this thread.

yerf 3202 shock upgrade

Postby joelster69 » Thu Mar 31, 2011 10:17 pm

rear shadow 500 shocks $15 and triumph 12" $19 , both sets bolted up no problems. the engine is at a slight angle because the shadow shocks were 13.5" vs 12" original shocks, so I added extra oil .
really happy with the results so far
