Murray explorer jackshaft

Postby Theironfist66 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:10 pm

I have a murray explorer go kart. I was replacing the sprocket and bearings. I noticed that the jackshaft that is connected to the torque converter has a lot of play in it. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it is supposed to be like that. Thanks for anyone that will reply.

I am rebuilding my Murray, and through that process, I removed the jackshaft. I had no play in mine.

However, when taking apart the jackshaft, the bearings are essentially shot. Curious what you used for bearings in yours? Apparently it is an odd bearing type from what I am finding out. ID=.75 OD=1.579 width=.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
