Hi and welcome to the Forum!
The fiberglass bodies are most of the expense on a bodied car (fiberglass... corvettes, boats etc. you get my drift I'm sure. Therfore I would suggest nixing the idea unless you have the exact frame (sized and the frame already has the right locations for the bolts etc.)
Also you would not actually want to buy the "frame", you already have that so the body is what your after... and like mentioned (probably 75% of the cost of the car itself) is not cost effective.
So I would say keep your frame as a regular go-kart, and if you want a bodied car... post your "wanted: da da da..." in the Used Karts part of this Forum. You may get some members that want to sell theirs!
