From the chipping paint at the Apex of that bend in the frame, Id say you bottomed out the the shock, which broke the weld off the A-arm, and caused the shock to break off.

Heavier springs would have helped.

Still looks like you bottomed out though.

Were both of you riding when it happened?

Might have had too much weight on it for the maneuvers you were executing, made a landing and it sent the coil over into a coil bind, putting maximum force on the shock, and the shock attachment points.

I would bet the A-arm is bent too.

And it could have been the shock blew out as well.

Might think about using a larger Kart, or a KArt with more suspension travel to Coil bind for that kind of use, or you will continue to break suspension components.

Id clean and inspect every square inch of the left side suspension too, look for cracked pipe and broken welds.

Honestly, it looks like you brought a Knife into a Gunfight...lol

I wonder if you could put some longer shocks on it with more travel and a higher spring rate?

It might make it ride slightly higher in the front...but it would be a small price to pay to keep from having to replace the frotn end everytime you drove it hard...right?
