Postby terryswafford » Thu May 08, 2008 9:46 pm

Hello everyone. I just bought my 7 year old a small 110 cc go kart . It is a 2 seater chines import. the question that I have is where can I get 2 shoulder type seatbelts. It only has a lap belt. His birthday is in 2 weeks and I would like to have it installed by then. Thanks for any help.

What works the best is if you just get 2" nylon webbing and make it yourself. It's the same stuff they use for racing seat belts. Then you can cut all the pieces to size so that it's a custom fit for your kart.

Either you can just tie it off or if you do a google for "webbing hardware" there are a lot of results. I found a couple places called Strapworks and Sailrite. If you have a tractor supply store locally you might be able to find some of the stuff there. They should have the webbing and the tighteners at least.
