Charge system on 10hp model

I posted in the Manco forum, but thought it might get more of a response here. How can you test the charging system on a Robin engine, specifiaclly the 10hp model on my 710 kart.

If it's got a battery, put a volt meter on the battery, set it to DCv, and crank the engine.

should read somewhere around 12.7 @ idle, and around 13.5 @ 3000+ rpms.

If no battery, and the system is just used to power lights or something, put the meter to the leads coming out from behind the flywheel, but set it to ACv.

The Stator produces AC voltage, which is converted to DCvoltage by the rectifier to charge a battery.

Thanks for the info!

I found one of the inline fuse holders had cracked and I wasn't getting voltage back to the battery from the engine. I put a new one in and it seems to be charging itself back up.

If the battery is too far gone, I will get a slightly bigger one this time.
