Postby BlackScorpion » Sun Jun 01, 2008 11:40 pm

Well after several long and painful months, I'm proud to announce that we have a new addition to the family. Here is a picture of her.

Yeah isn't she purdeee... The poor thing need so much work, but it does run though! I'll be posting new images soon, i want to start working on it.

UPDATE: I finally got around to messing with the Go Kart, one problem i ran into was the carb leaking gas.
I have posted a thread up in the Briggs & Stratton thread. I took the body off and the frame well it simply STINK, I'll post pics in a few.

That's pretty slick looking. I assume that the body is Fiberglass. Is it geared supper low for pulling or hill climbing? How much ground clearance do you have. I hope my son doesn't see this, that'll be next on the list.

Right now it only goes up to 15 Miles, the belt on it is not the right one. It has some type of old commercial engine on it 8 HP, I don't even know the brand, it came with another engine (Honda) I'll be posting pictures of the engine and also inside of the kart sometime this week.

That is pretty sharp. Ive always wanted to build something like that. The bodys on those are abit pricy though.

Add a lot of weight too. Nothing which can't be fixed by using a larger engine though. Cost cost cost. Still way lighter than a car though so the mileage won't be quite so awful. Not like it matters since it's not roadworthy anyway. I think they would be a lot cheaper if that damn fiberglass resin wasn't so expensive.

Yea, I pretty much paid for the body as the frame, tires and engine and other components aren't that great on it.

Well sometimes you need to think OUTSIDE the box and look at it for what it can be instead of what it is.

Yep anything fiberglass w/ gel coat surface.

Just think of Corvettes, Boats, Jet Skiis, Hot Tubs etc.
All Fiberglass and pricey
We take it from all directions...
